From 13 to 15 June, the Fanano Ice Stadium will host the Bruno Tiezzi National Games, a flat track speed roller skating event open to the youth categories.
The covered stadium of 30 x 60 m, at via Don Battistini 20, will therefore once again be hosting the event that has now taken place every year for about a decade, celebrating the memory of the never-forgotten FIHP President Bruno Tiezzi, with his strong belief in the educational values of sport as a means for bringing young people together and helping them to grow at a human level.
The aim of the Bruno Tiezzi National Games is therefore to make competition fun. An event where participants are not treated like little adults, but as the children they are. The event is intended to encourage new members of all clubs, who are not yet high-class performers, giving them the chance to take part with enthusiasm according to their abilities.
The Bruno Tiezzi National Games 2019, organised by Federazione Italiana Sport Rotellistici and A.S.D. Pattinatori Bononia Fini Sport, will see a change in the race formula and courses, reflecting the new rhythms in speed skating. The new race formulae will enable almost all the 400 athletes taking part this year to spend much more time on the track, with many opportunities to compete.
The event's opening parade starts from Piazza Corsini at 21:00 hrs on Thursday 13 June, with racing on Friday and Saturday and the concluding party on the Saturday evening.
See you there!
